It is with great pride we welcome you to the 52nd Annual Bristol Chrysanthemum Festival. The festival
has been a big part of Bristol’s heritage and has seen many changes over the years. In 1962 it was all about
the “Mums” and with the hard work and imagination of many volunteers, it has grown to what it is today- a
family tradition. It is a place to meet up with friends and enjoy some great entertainment, or just watch
the parade.
It is now a celebration of community, a time for local clubs, artists, and even school children to show
their talents. It is also the place to meet our local Hometown Hero!
The Chrysanthemum Festival lets us show pride in our community and pass on our traditions to our children.
This year for the first time in its history the festival will be expanding to the Memorial Day weekend with
“Balloons over Bristol”.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have helped over the years to carry on this
tradition, for without their assistance, all this would not be possible.
