It is with
great Bristol Pride and pleasure I welcome you to the
47th Annual Bristol Chrysanthemum
Festival.
Our 2008 theme is “Mum Festival Showcases “47” Years”.
This year’s theme was chosen to
showcase the many events of Mum Festival in its 47 year history. The first festival was known as the
Fall Festival in 1963 the Chrysanthemum Festival was incorporated and since then it has been known as
the Bristol Chrysanthemum Festival. As you can see by the many variety of events scheduled the entire
volunteer committee has been working very hard to bring together another great festival. This year has
been a team effort and all of the committee members have been great assets. My special thanks goes the
committee, the City of Bristol, The Mayor’s T.E.A.M committee, The Greater Bristol Chamber of Commerce
and all of the area business and the citizens of Bristol for their donations. We could not put on the
Festival without your support. The 2008 Bristol Mum Festival is a tribute to all of you.
